Waking up slowly from a traditional Pinecrest drunken slumber, I felt a creeping sense of dread. I unzipped my sleeping bag and glanced up at the sky, a vibrant violent shade of red spread as far as I could see. I bolted up and ran to my camera, cursing knowing I had already missed the shot. As I tuned it the red started to fade. Kicking myself for sleeping in, I watched it transistion to a deep brilliant orange. The sun crept up and I realized I was witnessing something special. The sky caught fire. Seconds later the sun peered over the mountain, day broke, and the moment passed.
